ODES AND MYTHS                                A collection of short stories Odes and Myths originated as the collection point for all my non flash fiction. While many of those earlier pieces have now been grouped with SKELETONS, there remains some from that era. Now Odes and Myths contains many of the newer stuff that keeps pouring from the sieve in my mind. Hell, some of them haven;t even been fully written yet but they will. Ashes to Ashes: Another twist on the vampire theme. Not sure if it works. Set in  Kincumber NSW Central Coast and its little church and graveyard. Two Peas In A Pod: This story is one of those strange journeys that a writer can take. It was a flash of an idea - two killers in a car but not knowing the other was a killer - but it sat as notes for years and years as I couldn't come up with anything with it. Then I saw Clockwork Orange and the whole thing came out the next day. Again was written as a short film script which came to nothing, a few years later I rewrote it as s/s and here it is. Had it read this year, apparantly the middle is repetitive and the ending should be less about round 2 between these guys and more that they go back to their killing ways. I just don't know anymore. Penance: Another idea that was written as a short film. I recently decided to expand it out by adding real life events to give it some meat. After participating in a seance I thought to myself, I've got to write this down!What follows is what happens when you wake the dead. Why won't kids ever learn . . .? More to come . . .
